Day 4 Update

Thursday! What an exciting day and SO much stuff happened today, so here goes:

Backing up a few days ago – at our premiere of Talladega Nights, I forgot to mention how AMAZING security was. We went through one or two different security checks (1 for weapons, 1 for cameras) and it was just very interesting to see how tight it really was for a premiere movie and how they are trying to fight against bootleg copies.

Anyways, for today’s activities, there were a few fun ones. The biggest action happened at lunch today. As I told some of you, we’ve been spoiled rotten as far as what we get fed around here. They get SO much food it’s impossible to go hungry (example: last night we had 6 buckets of KFC chicken for 9 people).

Although we thought it couldn’t get better, it just did! Richard (the guy that watches over us and makes sure we feel like royalty) hired a caterer for our month class. He didn’t hire one for the first month, but it’s pretty neat that we get this personalized cater for 10 people.

The fact that we have a personalized caterer (who cooks great) at lunch is just the beginning of the great events that happened today! During lunch, we had the opportunity to meet with one of the producers of Warner Brothers who was the EXECUTIVE PRODUCER for many movies. Most popular, he was executive producer for “Grumpy Old Men” and “Grumpier Old Men”.

It was really neat talking with Brian (that’s his name, FYI) because he obviously knows a lot about the industry and has a lot of knowledge to share. He helped give us tips on how to get our stories and names out there, which definitely helped out. He plans to come in on Friday to help us with scripts, as well as next week. I think he’ll be a very valuable resource as time continues…

For all, that’s about all of the excitement. Tomorrow (Friday) we should be doing a lot more things (just like today) that we are all looking forward to. So look for more updates then!!

Until then, Have a Magical Day!
