World of Color

Last night, I had the chance to see Disneyland's newest show - 'World of Color'.

Some of you may be laughing already, and perhaps thinking to yourself..."Hmm, a color blind guy going to see a show about color?". As ironic as it may be, the show was fantastic, and I honestly don't know how to describe it. But I'll try:

If you've seen the Fountains at Bellagio in Las Vegas, this show makes those fountains look like nothing. It puts them to shame. If you've seen Disney's 'Fantasmic', it is nothing in comparison to 'World of Color'.

This show is unlike anything I've ever seen. It has such an incredible use of water, fire, lasers, projection screens, and just...technology overall. The entire experience is mind blowing. If I took a video, it would not do justice for what you seen in real life. You must be there in person to experience this event.

Here's a quick picture or two that I took after the show (they let the fountains run idle for a few minutes afterwards). This picture is just the 'tip of the iceberg' for what is the most incredible show Disney has produced to date.

If you have a chance to see this show, GO! It's worth seeing again and again.

The Emmy's

The 2010 Emmy's were tonight! It's always a very exciting night for me because I am a big fan of television. :)

It was nice to see a lot of really deserving people win this evening. For example: Ryan Murphy, the executive producer / creator of Glee won an Emmy! I found it EXTRA cool that he won because just a FEW short weeks ago, I met the guy and had my picture taken with him! :) Pretty awesome.

It was also great to see cast members from Glee and Modern Family take home some prizes! However, I was disappointed that the academy did not give Conan O'Brien an Emmy for 'The Tonight Show'. That being said, though, some of the NBC slams (in relation to the Tonight Show scandal) were pretty hilarious!

Watching the Emmy's always gives me a little boost of inspiration and confidence to keep pushing forward with my dreams. It sounds cliche, but its true. I know that I'm in the right place out here in California, and I am making connections with some fantastic people. Without trying to sound too egotistical, I think it's just a matter of time. :) Good things come to those who wait....

Rocket John Tribute

Last night, before the first football game of the season at my alma mater High School (SMHS), a tribute was held at the South Milwaukee PAC for Rocket John. For those that are unaware, 'Rocket' John Bogadi was a real 'Hometown Hero'. He was best known for coming out to practically every sporting event South Milwaukee athletes participated in. Earlier this summer, Rocket John passed away.

I am proud to say I was able to be a part of his memorial service by creating this video. I hope you enjoy it!

John Williams at the Bowl

Tonight was a very exciting evening! I had the special chance to see John Williams in concert at the Hollywood Bowl!

The orchestra played a number of exciting movie medleys, including selections from "Psycho", "Jaws", "Fiddler on the Roof", "Indiana Jones", "Superman", and "Star Wars". Sadly, he did not play any music from "Back to the Future" or "E.T.". Ah well...

This first video is from the "Indiana Jones" montage. It's pretty cool!

My favorite moment during the concert was when the orchestra starting playing a selection from "Star Wars". As soon as the song started, everybody in the audience pulled out the light sabers and lit up the Hollywood Bowl! Take a look in the video below :)

Katy Perry

Exciting news, everybody!

Katy Perry posted 'Us Milwaukee Girls' onto her website and Facebook!! How cool is that?! In less than just 24 hours after she posted us, we've received 5,000 hits and counting!! We also received over 2,500 comments on the video! People are really starting to talk about our video! Who would have ever thought this would get so huge?

Check out this screenshot I took from one (of the many) Katy Perry Official Websites. We are featured on the top left corner as the newest video!

It's REALLY FRECKIN' HOT.

Hello Friends.

Today, it's really hot in Los Angeles. Really hot. Really freckin' hot.

114 degrees is what my car registered when I was driving home from work. That's too hot.

Penny for your thought

"See a penny, pick it up. All day long you'll have good luck!"

Unless it's 110 degrees outside in Southern California and the penny is on hot asphalt. In that case, it may be best to just ignore the penny....

Life is Good :)

Hey Everybody! The last few days have been pretty exciting, to say the least. Here's a quick update.

'Us Milwaukee Girls' is taking the internet by storm! Still! Crazy, right?! It's been almost two weeks and the video is still getting hits online like crazy! Today, in just 24 hours, we went from 3,000 hits to 4,000 hits. That's truly mind blowing. Now, the Milwaukee Journal wants to do a story! I'm so proud of the success of this video. If you haven't seen it yet, please check it out and share it with friends!

Meeting with David - This past weekend, I had the chance to meet up with David Wappel, who is a friend of mine that I worked in Orlando with when I did the NYFA Film Camp years ago! It was great to see him (for the first time in 6 years!) and we had a lovely lunch at the Disney Soda Fountain!

Speaking of Food - Tonight, Jessica and I went to the Glendale Galleria to track down the "Grilled Cheese Truck". Simply put, this is a truck that travels all around LA and sells AMAZING Grilled Cheese sandwiches to the good folks of LA. After an hour-long wait, we got our Grilled Cheese sandwiches and they did not disappoint. As a bonus, in the park that evening, they were screening High School Musical 3. It was a ton of fun!

I'm super busy this week catching up (still!), but I look forward to settling down a little bit more next week. Until then, take care everyone!

My First Review

Today, I spent some time checking out the statistics for the 'Us Milwaukee Girls' music video. YouTube has this really neat thing where it will tell you how people found your video...if they searched for it, clicked on a link from a different site, etc...

As I was reading some of the statistics, I came along this site, which did a story on our parody. Believe it or not, this site is owned by 'The Onion', and they actually gave us a pretty nice review! I found it pretty amusing.

Some of the comments after the video are a little harsh, so I'm not really making it known to my campers, but again, that's the nature of this industry (and for that matter, being an American citizen...yay Freedom of Speech). The only sad part is that these guys commenting don't realize what this music video project was for.

You can see the site and the review by clicking here.

'Us Milwaukee Girls' is becoming a hit!

Less than 1 week ago, I posted the music video that my campers created during my 2 week Summer Entertainment Camp.

Since then, the video has exploded on the internet and people are eating it up! Even some friends of mine over at 99.1 WMYX caught wind of the project and have been promoting it, too! Check out the radio clip here:

To view the 99.1 WMYX blog, click here!

In case you haven't seen the video, check it out here:

Be sure to show it to your friends and family! We are almost at 2,000 hits and that is after less than a week online!

RENT at the Hollywood Bowl

Tonight was a very cool tonight! I had the pleasure of seeing RENT at the Hollywood Bowl. It was an awesome show with a huge All-Star cast!

Neil Patrick Harris served as director, and Wayne Brady, Vanessa Hudgens, Nicole Scherzinger, and countless others starred in it. The Bowl was packed with die-hard RENT fans, so it was fun chatting with people before and after the show. Many people flew into LA for the weekend JUST to see the show because of the cast lineup. In my opinion, the whole cast was fantastic...but without question, Nicole Scherzinger STOLE the show!

Some pictures are below (some thanks to 'Just Aired'), as well as a video I took from Seasons of Love! Enjoy!

Summer Entertainment Camp 2010 Highlights

Hey Everybody!

Wow! These last few weeks have FLOWN by! For those of you that didn't know, I was back in my hometown of Milwaukee, WI holding my 2nd Annual Summer Entertainment Camp. This year, I am proud to say - we had an even bigger and better camp than last year!

If you are curious in seeing highlights from the entire camp, you can check out our photo albums over at the official camp website. To visit the site, go to: www.MilwEntCamp.com.

Also, please check out this awesome slideshow which highlights the best moments of the camp!

The campers decided to do one BIG production this year (instead of a few little ones like last year). They chose to do a parody of Katy Perry's "California Gurls"...but with a Milwaukee twist. You can see the final music video here:

Overall, I cannot complain about the success of the camp this year! A VERY big thanks to everyone who helped make it possible!
